Concerning hobbits

He guessed as well as he could, and crawled along for a good way, till suddenly his hand met what felt like a tiny ring of cold metal lying on the floor of the tunnel. It was a turning point in his career, but he did not know it. He put the ring in his pocket almost without thinking; certainly it did not seem of any particular use at the moment.

 Je me souviens que, quand j'étais petite, la lecture de Bilbo le hobbit m'avait semblé difficile. L'histoire me plaisait mais le roman me semblait plutôt mal écrit (si si...). En reprenant le livre il n'y a pas longtemps, j'ai réalisé que ce n'était pas le roman mais la traduction qui laissait à désirer (preuve incontestable que mon master de traduction est utile ^^). Du coup je l'ai lu en anglais et il n'y a pas photo, la lecture n'en a été que plus agréable. Et puis je voulais absolument le relire avant la sortie de l'adaptation en décembre :)
